Porcelain Teeth Veneers
Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.
Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers may one day require replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, beautiful smile.
How Are Veneers Placed?
Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is placed over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy typically involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is typically referred to as bonding.
The indirect technique usually involves two visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.
The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.
You will get care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and beautiful veneers.
