Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology enables your dental practitioner to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns provide exceptional benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of three fundamental steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly accurate photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently restored tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and possible risks related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment where we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods rather than through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
