Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns implied coming into the dentist's office at least two times. The first visit involved getting an impression of your tooth and a temporary crown. Then, a couple of weeks later, a 2nd check-up permitted the short-term crown to be removed and a brand-new permanent crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest technology to make dental work more convenient for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown innovation to produce ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one visit with a little camera to develop a 3D picture of the tooth that has to be fixed. This means a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer required.

Using CAD/CAM software, We develop a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can produce the new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is connected to your tooth using a bonding material, and the brand-new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more details about same day crowns technology, and take care of those issues you may have been avoiding.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today's Subject Is:

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a terribly damaged joint.
