We believe you will be very interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to get same day crowns! It is a comfy one-day treatment!

Our whole dental practice is cutting edge, except for our patient care and issue which is traditional. We understand the pain missing teeth can cause clients, and therefore we are very delighted to be able to offer patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to strengthen a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the surrounding teeth, so they can not be discovered by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are an extremely interesting offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a stunning brand-new smile in just one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in just a little fraction of the time that was needed previously.

CAD/CAM innovation is exactly what makes this amazing development possible. The acronym stands for computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this technology in our system. This system is used to restore teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional visit to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have much more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send out the details to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. Once the crown is crated, we place it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking radiance. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this procedure might indeed be ideal for you. If you have an interest in finding out more about this procedure, contact us today for a visit.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an excellent method to replace missing teeth.

There are a number of types of bridges. We will talk about the best options for your specific case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is generally made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular due to the fact that they resemble your natural teeth. This type of bridge consists of 2 crowns that go over 2 anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are connected on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the space developed by one or more missing teeth.

Dental bridges are extremely durable and will last multiple years with appropriate home care; however, they may have to be replaced or re-cemented due to normal wear.

Reasons For Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking ability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill area of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a removable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

What does getting a Fixed Bridge involve?

Getting a bridge normally needs 2 or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by eliminating a portion of enamel to enable a crown. Next, a extremely precise impression (mold) is made which will be sent to a dental laboratory where the bridge will be made. In addition, a short-term bridge will be made and worn for a number of weeks up until your next visit.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be thoroughly checked, adjusted, and cemented to accomplish a proper fit and comfy bite.

You will receive care directions at the conclusion of your treatment. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new permanent bridge.

Why Should You Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the space developed by a missing tooth. It is formed to appear like the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for assistance, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an specific science. The materials used may be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The choice of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is essential that a missing tooth be replaced as soon as possible for multiple reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the gap start to move inward, creating an entire domino effect of bad things. Teeth use their neighbors for support, and, with one missing, they start to "fall." As this gets worse the bite changes in response to the pressure. This can ultimately result in problems with the entire jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth degrade and it is simply a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease becomes a serious issue, with the difficulty of treatment enhancing as the neglect continues.
