What Are Same Day Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will go over the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you may have concerning the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new exclusive software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's appropriate shape and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal treatment. When this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no symptoms appear and the individual is unaware of any issue until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
