Same Day Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It enables us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have required 2 visits. The first appointment includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that carves the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a short-term as well as a second appointment.

Restorative dentistry treatments can be very important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Dental Dentures

There are different kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a determination is made about which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one just carries on as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.

It is necessary to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you are able to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-confidence.

A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we regularly suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
