Same Day Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to produce crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required 2 visits. The first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to tke a picture of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling device that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a temporary along with a 2nd visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be extremely important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Ultrasonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for many adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help preserve optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning appropriate to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits then polished.
