Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We provide this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your treatment and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that allows ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be performed in one visit instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The outcomes we see are remarkable. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are superb.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are numerous ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Since tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and convenient bleaching process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
