Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental treatment that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to dread the time you will have to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we offer a terrific time-saving option for you. We provide same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we integrate advanced innovations and procedures to provide our patients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are two various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is normally made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help reinforce the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to connect bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a severely stained tooth that has to be brought back to its initial, appealing appearance.

Usually getting a dental crown is a prolonged treatment. The dentist will have to take impressions, provide you with a temporary crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, and after that have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our office thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and eliminate any need to send out impressions or photos to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to return for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a temporary crown, because our permanent crown will be instantly available to you.

If you wish to meet our dental practitioner to learn more about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, call our office.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable ways instead of through a more pricey dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
