What Are Same Day Crowns?

The single visit crown is a technology for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more beautiful, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the state-of-the-art ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your appointment, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will answer any questions you might have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Today Were Talking About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are a number of ways to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth considerably. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of daily use. 3 various strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and practical bleaching process. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
