We believe you will be extremely interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfy one-day treatment!

Our entire dental practice is advanced, except for our client care and concern which is standard. We know the discomfort missing teeth can cause patients, and for that reason we are very delighted to be able to offer patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to enhance a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be discovered by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a really interesting offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a lovely new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dentists to provide you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was needed previously.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this interesting advancement possible. The acronym represents computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this technology in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional appointment to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have a lot more interesting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you have to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we place it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking appeal. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this procedure may undoubtedly be perfect for you. If you have an interest in finding out more about this process, contact us today for a consultation.

Today's Subject Is:

Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)

Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Due to the fact that gum disease is normally painless, you might not know you have it. Also referred to as periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of bacteria that is constantly forming on our teeth.

Some warning signs that may signal an issue:

  • gums that bleed too quickly.

  • red, inflamed, tender gums.

  • gums that have retreated from the teeth.

  • consistent foul breath or bad taste.

  • permanent teeth that are separating or loose.

  • any difference in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

  • any change in the fit of partial dentures.

There are lots of factors that increase the risk of establishing gum disease consisting of smoking, pregnancy, and diabetes. It is essential to go to your dentist if you think you have gum disease because the faster you treat it the better.

The early stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums might become red, swollen and bleed quickly. At this stage, the disease is still reversible and can normally be eliminated by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by everyday flossing and brushing.

Advanced periodontal disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis can cause the loss of bone and tissue that support the teeth and it might end up being more severe in time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It typically becomes worse slowly, however there can be periods of fast progression.

Aggressive periodontitis is a highly damaging form of gum disease that happens in patients who are otherwise healthy. Common features consist of rapid loss of bone and tissue and might occur in some areas of the mouth, or in the entire mouth.

Research in between systemic diseases and gum diseases is ongoing. While a link is not conclusive, some studies show that extreme periodontal disease might be related to multiple other health conditions such as stroke or diabetes.

Regular dental checkups and periodontal examinations are crucial. The treatment methods that most dental professionals diagnose will rely on the type of disease and how far the condition has actually advanced. Excellent dental care at home is important to help keep periodontal disease from becoming more severe or recurring.
