Same day crowns are an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. This innovation can develop full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown device crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one appointment. In addition to the benefit of a one appointment restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The procedure for positioning of a same day crown restoration is extremely simple. The primary step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then form the tooth in preparation to take a digital picture. The tooth is then sprayed with a extremely fine powder. This enables the digital camera to take an appropriate image. As soon as this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

When the design is finished, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes roughly 15 minutes. You can actually watch this process if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dentist will position the restoration on your tooth.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are a number of methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and convenient bleaching process. The visit is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
