What Are Same Day Dental Crowns?

The same day crown is a innovation for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to the dentist's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more gorgeous, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the top-quality ceramic product works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the procedure and your dental practitioner will answer any concerns you may have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical bleaching procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
