Our practice likes new innovations, specifically when it improves the dental care that we can provide to our clients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable new technology where beautiful all porcelain crowns are created within 2 hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown built. During this time the patient would need to wear a temporary plastic crown that was always uncomfy.

Today, our equipment enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the patient leaves our office with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a temporary crown for 2 or 3 weeks.

  • There is no need to return again to have the same day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed again! No more shot needles!

Our office chooses same day crowns due to the fact that it is made of beautiful material and also very long lasting.

If your thinking about a same day crown, please give our office a call.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are usually minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods rather than through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
