CHEAP CROWNS FOR TEETH

Updated On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 01:13:13 AM

If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or wish to remove unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding resilience and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we offer on a case by case basis to clients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a short-term crown placed then another visit arranged for the positioning of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new innovation that scans the mouth to obtain the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are really strong and long lasting and constructed of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be suggested for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may vary between the two and you may want to discuss your budget as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based upon your certain circumstance.

Call us to set up a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a badly damaged joint.
