Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new innovation it enables dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can take pleasure in a dazzling, natural looking, and resilient option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

First, your dentist will meet with you to discuss the details of the procedure. Throughout the treatment, the dental practitioner will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a photo of your tooth.

Using the new software, the picture serves as a map to design your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly affordable ways rather than through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
