Same Day Tooth Restorations
CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.
CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)
Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a beautiful and attractive smile.
Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last years, offering you a long lasting, lovely smile.
How Are Veneers Placed?
Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy usually involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is usually referred to as bonding.
The indirect technique generally involves two visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.
The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.
You will get care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
