What Is So Special About Single Visit Dental Crowns?

In a typical dental practice, receiving dental crowns is a long and frequently an unpleasant procedure that can take several weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which enables us to scan, design, and mill gorgeous tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Envision entering our dental office to get a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more details!

More About The Single Visit Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dentist will talk about the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you may have. Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal functionality and appearance return and one simply carries on as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is necessary to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social circumstances, as well as your self-esteem.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we frequently recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
