Single Visit Crowns In Only One Visit

If you choose same day crowns, your experience will be rather different.
Instead of goopy impressions, our dentist will apply a thin layer of reflective powder to your tooth and will take photos of your tooth. Your new crown is then made right here at our office from a piece of ceramic. There is no metal in your crown.

While your crown is being made, you are free to wait and enjoy our dental spa. You might decide to have other dental work done during this time.

After your ceramic crown is made, it is bonded to your tooth using cutting-edge adhesive dentistry. Done and done!

You do not require numerous trips. Just one trip and you go home with your permanent crown! Now that should give you something to smile about!

If you have been considering a crown, speak to us about it today.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect problems early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal treatment. Once this happens, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be extremely agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has become infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no symptoms appear and the individual is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. When the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
