Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation allows your dental practitioner to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes 3 basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth prep work and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Traditional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently restored tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and possible risks associated with uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with the majority of dental restorations, veneers may someday need replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method usually involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
