Same Day Crowns At A Family Dentist Near You

Same Day Crowns technology has actually altered how dental treatments will be done forever. If crowns, onlays, inlays or dental veneers were required to fix broken teeth, it used to indicate multiple appointments, a great deal of inconvenience, and often a lot of money.

This brand-new technology makes these ceramic restorations within minutes in the dental office. It is comprised of numerous computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and a milling device that creates custom ceramic restorative devices. It also can make almost any ceramic restoration to order, meaning the dentist can position it immediately. This is of fantastic advantage to a anxious patient, and it can also decrease the expense of treatment.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are multiple ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of approaches: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and practical lightening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
