What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are multiple benefits to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is performed in a single appointment, you just have to see the dental practitioner once, take one day away from your work to have the treatment, instead of the typical two or three visits.

  • Only one set of local, because the whole treatment can be carried out within an hour you only need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist is in complete control of the final outcome, given that the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have overall control over how it will look and fit.

  • No temporary restorations, which can typically fall off in between visits if they are not taken care of appropriately.

At our practice we want to maintain your dental health and assist you to improve your look. Our experienced and friendly personnel takes fantastic pride in keeping your smile beautiful.

The items we suggest and use are the highest of quality and incredibly long lasting.

The Topic For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Detecting problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
