Same day crowns are an advanced dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, split, or chipped teeth. This technology can produce full crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most beneficial feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no unpleasant impression product to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The treatment for positioning of a same day crown restoration is extremely easy. The first step is to get rid of all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital image. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an appropriate image. When this image is recorded, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to develop the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is completed, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes roughly 15 minutes. You can actually see this process if you would like. When the restoration is completed milling, the dentist will place the restoration on your tooth.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth considerably. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and convenient lightening process. The visit is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
