Same day crowns are a dental restoration device that enables a dentist to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted innovations, consisting of 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns permits dentists the flexibility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a patient, instead of the several appointments needed with other methods!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by numerous clinical research studies and is offered by thousands of dentists to countless patients all over the world each year!

Same day crowns not just conserves you time and money, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are not able to penetrate metal crowns, making any degeneration undetected till it was too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This indicates any degeneration beneath the restoration can be discovered and treated before it ends up being a major issue.

Because same day crown innovation use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your customized restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those created by hand. And, the computer-assisted innovation can produce an virtually identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
