Thanks to ingenious modern day technologies, we are proud to introduce the ability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a special camera created just for this purpose.

Second, the new software examines the entire image and uses the results to compute a number of excellent restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are evaluated and refined by the dentist and the last restoration strategy is chosen.

Lastly your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you want to understand more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be more than happy to assist you.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal therapy. When this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even deteriorate the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and might be really unpleasant. Signs that the pulp has ended up being infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms are apparent and the individual is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. As soon as the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
