Porcelain Teeth Veneers
Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and appealing smile.
Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still extremely long lasting and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.
How Are Veneers Set?
Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy normally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is normally referred to as bonding.
The indirect method usually involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.
The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is usually less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.
You will get care directions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
