TEETH IN A DAY COST
NEW ORLEANS LOUISIANA

Updated On Sunday, August 19, 2018 07:05:47 PM

Our practice likes new technology, specifically when it enhances the dental care that we can provide to our clients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a terrific new technology where stunning all porcelain crowns are created within 2 hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown constructed. Throughout this time the patient would have to wear a temporary plastic crown that was always uncomfortable.

Today, our equipment allows us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the patient leaves our practice with the final crown that day!

  • There's no need to have a temporary crown for 2 to 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return once more to have the single visit crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once again! No more needles!

Our office prefers same day crowns because it is made of gorgeous material as well as very long lasting.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is usually made out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that feels and look very natural. Surgically put below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and serve as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability due to the fact that they fuse to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly set in the mouth, the dental practitioner then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple benefits. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, as soon as the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or problem in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't have to be taken out all the time.
