Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns implied coming into the dentist's office at least two times. The first visit included getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd visit allowed for the temporary crown to be removed and a brand-new long-term crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest technology to make dental work easier for you and your busy schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown technology to create ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one check-up with a little camera to create a 3D picture of the tooth that has to be fixed. This indicates a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can create the brand-new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is stuck to your tooth using a bonding product, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so no one will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for additional information about same day crowns innovation, and take care of those problems you might have been avoiding.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If neglected and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a severely damaged joint.
