Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of same day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. As soon as this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even damage the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be extremely unpleasant. Signs that the pulp has actually become infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs appear and the person is unaware of any problem until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
