Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology enables your dental practitioner to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes 3 fundamental steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Next, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling device which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer unparalleled strength, durability, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a wonderfully restored tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and possible threats connected with ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like the majority of dental restorations, veneers might someday need replacement; however, they are still extremely resilient and will last many years, giving you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method usually involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique usually involves two appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are normally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is typically less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
