What Are Single Visit Crowns?

The same day crown is a innovation for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the high-grade ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will go over the information of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you may have. Your dentist will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are numerous ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three various strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and hassle-free whitening process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
