Why Get Single Visit Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of using same day crown over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, eliminating significant possible discomfort.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are multiple methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free bleaching process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
