Same Day Crowns - Created And Positioned In A Single Visit!

Too busy for multiple dental visits?

We have great news! Now you can have your dental crown developed and placed in a single visit.

No frustrating temporaries or repeat appointments!

With CAD-CAM Technology our dentists have the ability to create your crown while you wait.

Our practice has invested in the same day crown restorative technology to provide our clients with customized crowns, inlays and onlays in the convenience of our office.

Using a special optical impression, we get a digital image of your existing teeth and develop your new restoration to fit your bite. With a huge shade selection, your new restoration will look like your natural teeth.

We know you are busy! Many of our patients that have experienced same day crown dentistry have discussed how much they liked taking less time out of their schedule to have their crown done in a single visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify issues early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal therapy. Once this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very uncomfortable. Signs that the pulp has actually ended up being infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs appear and the person is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
