If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or wish to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good option for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a temporary crown placed and then another visit scheduled for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and durable and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. Sometimes, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you may wish to discuss your budget as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the types of crowns available and give you a suggestion based on your particular situation.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Conversation Has To Do With:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. When this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even deteriorate the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be extremely agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has become infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. As soon as the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is recommended for restoring a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
