With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)
Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and attractive smile.
Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.
As with the majority of dental restorations, veneers may one day require replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.
How Are Veneers Set?
Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are typically only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.
The direct strategy usually involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is normally referred to as bonding.
The indirect technique usually involves 2 visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.
The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.
You will get care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and stunning veneers.
