Single Visit Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are taking place in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to develop crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required two appointments. The very first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd appointment, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be finished in simply one visit. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling device that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary along with a second appointment.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made as to which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal functionality and look return and one just carries on as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, and even your self-confidence.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to significantly enhance the fit of a lower complete denture, we frequently suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for multiple years.
