What Are Single Visit Crowns?

The single visit crown is a innovation for restoring damaged teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single appointment to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the state-of-the-art ceramic product is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Single Visit Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the information of the treatment and your dental practitioner will address any concerns you might have. Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has been broken or become stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable ways rather than through a more pricey dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
