CAN DENTAL IMPLANTS BE DONE IN ONE DAY
NEW ORLEANS LA

Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns implied coming into the dentist's office at least 2 times. The first visit involved getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd check-up permitted the temporary crown to be eliminated and a new long-term crown to be placed on your tooth. We use the latest innovation making dental work more convenient for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown innovation to produce ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in simply one check-up with a little camera to create a 3D image of the tooth that needs to be fixed. This means a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling device. This innovation can develop the new restoration in as little as 15 minutes.

The restoration is connected to your tooth using a bonding material, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so no one will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more information about same day crowns innovation, and take care of those problems you may have been avoiding.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If untreated and taken to extremes, surgery might be needed to fix a severely damaged joint.
