Single Visit Crowns - A Smart Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to create crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most innovative dental technology, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have needed two visits. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be completed in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling machine that sculpts the restoration from a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term in addition to a second appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can typically be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating lots of cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers might at some point need replacement; however, they are still really resilient and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique usually involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique generally involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab produced veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care directions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
