Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology permits your dentist to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer exceptional convenience, value, and accuracy to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes 3 basic steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take highly precise images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office precision milling device which creates the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable strength, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and preserve more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns need two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a beautifully fixed tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and possible threats associated with ill-fitting short-term crowns.

Today's Subject Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are multiple ways to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple techniques: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and practical lightening procedure. The visit is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
