Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are lots of benefits of single day crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No standard impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and carefully match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to contact our office today. We will address any questions you have and you can make an appointment to talk with our dentist personally.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today We Will Be Going Over:

Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)

Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Because gum disease is usually pain-free, you might not know you have it. Also referred to as periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of germs that is continuously forming on our teeth.

Here are few warning signs that may signal an issue:

  • gums that bleed too quickly.

  • red, swollen, sore gums.

  • gums that have pulled away from the teeth.

  • consistent foul breath or bad taste.

  • permanent teeth that are separating or loose.

  • any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

  • any difference in the fit of partial dentures.

There are many aspects that enhance the risk of developing gum disease including smoking cigarettes, pregnancy, and diabetes. It is essential to visit your dentist if you believe you have gum disease because the earlier you treat it the better.

The early stage of periodontal disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums might become red, inflamed and bleed easily. At this phase, the disease is still reversible and can usually be eliminated by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by everyday flossing and brushing.

Advanced gum disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis can result in the loss of bone and tissue that support the teeth and it might end up being more severe with time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It normally becomes worse slowly, however there can be periods of rapid progression.

Aggressive periodontitis is a highly damaging kind of periodontal disease that happens in patients who are otherwise healthy. Common features include rapid loss of bone and tissue and may happen in some areas of the mouth, or in the entire mouth.

Research between systemic diseases and periodontal diseases is ongoing. While a link is not conclusive, some research studies suggest that extreme gum disease may be connected with numerous other health conditions such as stroke or diabetes.

Routine dental appointments and periodontal examinations are extremely important. The treatment techniques that most dental experts diagnose will rely on the kind of disease and how far the condition has advanced. Good dental care in your home is important to help keep periodontal disease from becoming more severe or recurring.
