Why Choose One Day Crowns?

There are many advantages of same day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions means no gagging.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, beauty, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain beautiful for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are made out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

Today's Topic Is:

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an exceptional method to replace missing teeth.

There are a number of kinds of bridges. We will go over the best options for your specific case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is usually made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular since they resemble your natural teeth. This type of bridge consists of two crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are connected on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the gap developed by one or more missing teeth.

Dental bridges are highly resilient and will last multiple years with correct home care; however, they may have to be replaced or re-cemented due to normal wear.

A Few Reasons For Considering Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking capability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill space of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a detachable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

Exactly what does getting a Fixed Bridge include?

Getting a bridge normally requires 2 or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a part of enamel to enable a crown. Next, a highly accurate impression (mold) is made which will be sent to a dental lab where the bridge will be produced. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and worn for a number of weeks until your next appointment.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be thoroughly checked, adjusted, and cemented to attain a proper fit and comfy bite.

You will receive care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new permanent bridge.

Why You Should Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the space developed by a missing tooth. It is formed to resemble the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for assistance, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an specific science. The materials used may be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The choice of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is essential that a missing tooth be replaced as soon as possible for a number of reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the space start to move inward, developing an entire chain reaction of bad things. Teeth utilize their neighbors for assistance, and, with one missing, they begin to "fall." As this worsens the bite changes in reaction to the pressure. This can eventually lead to problems with the whole jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth deteriorate and it is just a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease ends up being a serious issue, with the difficulty of treatment enhancing as the neglect continues.
