Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this brand-new innovation it allows dentists to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can produce natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous trips to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and resilient solution for your missing or broken teeth today.

First, your dental practitioner will meet with you to discuss the information of the treatment. Throughout the treatment, the dental practitioner will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the picture works as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has been broken or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
