Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays a crucial function in our practice. This amazing innovation in chair side dentistry provides us the tools to create, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single appointment.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The standard method to a crown or inlay and onlay often required a return appointment after the client waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was produced in a different laboratory. Same day crown CAD/CAM innovation removes the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a special camera to take an precise image of the broken tooth. This optical impression is transferred and shown on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner utilizes CAD (computer-aided design) software to create the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes control of and immediately mills the restoration while the client waits. At last, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The entire process takes about one hour, and there are no irritating temporaries or 2nd appointment required!

Proven Technology

With two decades of scientific research study and more than 20 million restorations performed worldwide, same day crowns have shown to be a an effective, safe and convenient technology that we are delighted to offer to our clients.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Topic Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to the majority of dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last years, providing you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Set?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy generally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is generally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory made veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
