Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new technology it enables dentists to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can fabricate natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and long lasting solution for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dentist will consult with you to discuss the information of the treatment. Throughout the procedure, the dental practitioner will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the image works as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic product works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Topic Is:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has been broken or become stained. These are generally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively affordable means rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
