Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that permits a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted technologies, consisting of 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns allows dental practitioners the flexibility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a client, rather than the numerous visits needed with other methods!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by hundreds of clinical studies and is provided by countless dentists to millions of clients worldwide each year!

Same day crowns not just saves you money and time, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are unable to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetectable until it was too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any decay beneath the restoration can be discovered and treated before it ends up being a major problem.

Because same day crown technology use a milling unit to mill the ceramic into your custom-made restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those developed by hand. And, the computer-assisted innovation can develop an almost similar restoration of the previous tooth.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are numerous ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical lightening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
