If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or wish to remove unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be an excellent alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface area of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to clients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a temporary crown placed and then another check-up scheduled for the placement of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are really strong and long lasting and constructed of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you may wish to discuss your budget plan as well with the your dentist. Your dentist will discuss with you the types of crowns available and give you a recommendation based upon your specific situation.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is usually constructed out of titanium and is surgically put into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and traditional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants offer a smile that looks very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they fuse to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also discover the secure fit is more comfortable than traditional substitutes. Prospects for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not need to be taken out all the time.
