Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that enables a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted innovations, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns enables dental practitioners the versatility to fix teeth in a single sitting with a patient, rather than the multiple appointments needed with other methods!

Same day crowns have actually been shown by numerous medical studies and is provided by thousands of dentists to countless patients around the globe each year!

Same day crowns not just conserves you time and money, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are not able to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetected till it was far too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This indicates any degeneration below the restoration can be discovered and treated before it ends up being a big issue.

Since same day crown technology use a milling device to mill the ceramic into your custom restoration, the porcelain is stronger than those produced by hand. And, the computer-assisted technology can create an virtually identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal therapy. When this takes place, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it must be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even damage the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be extremely agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has actually ended up being infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no signs are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. As soon as the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Generally a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
