Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dentist's office a minimum of two times. The first check-up included getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd check-up permitted the short-term crown to be removed and a new permanent crown to be put on your tooth. We use the latest innovation to make dental work easier for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a state-of-the-art same day crown innovation to produce ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in just one check-up with a little camera to produce a 3D image of the tooth that needs to be repaired. This indicates a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We produce a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can create the new restoration in as little as 15 minutes.

The restoration is connected to your tooth using a bonding material, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for more information about same day crowns innovation, and take care of those problems you may have been putting off.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a terribly damaged joint.
