Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dental practitioner's office at least two times. The first check-up involved getting an impression of your tooth and a temporary crown. Then, a couple of weeks later, a 2nd visit enabled the temporary crown to be removed and a new long-term crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest technology making dental work easier for you and your day to day schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown innovation to develop ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in simply one check-up with a small camera to produce a 3D picture of the tooth that has to be fixed. This means a physical mold, which is undesirable and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We develop a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling machine. This innovation can develop the brand-new restoration in just 15 minutes.

The restoration is stuck to your tooth using a bonding material, and the new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today to learn more about same day crowns technology, and take care of those problems you might have been avoiding.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If untreated and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a badly damaged joint.
