Same day crowns are a dental restoration innovation that enables a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using computer-assisted technologies, including 3-D photography and CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing).

Same day crowns enables dental practitioners the versatility to restore teeth in a single sitting with a patient, instead of the numerous appointments needed with other techniques!

Same day crowns have actually been proven by hundreds of clinical research studies and is offered by countless dental practitioners to countless clients worldwide each year!

Same day crowns not only saves you money and time, it can also save your teeth!

Dental X-rays are not able to penetrate metal crowns, making any decay undetected till it was too late.

Same day crowns use a strong porcelain that x-rays can penetrate. This means any degeneration below the restoration can be discovered and fixed before it ends up being a major problem.

Because same day crown innovation use a milling unit to mill the ceramic into your custom restoration, the porcelain is more durable than those developed by hand. And, the computer-assisted innovation can produce an nearly identical restoration of the previous tooth.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. Once this occurs, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even weaken the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really unpleasant. Signs that the pulp has become infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms are apparent and the individual is unaware of any problem up until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
