Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, broken, or cracked teeth. This technology can develop complete crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most beneficial feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression product to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The procedure for placement of a same day crown restoration is very simple. The primary step is to get rid of all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then form the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a really fine powder. This enables the digital camera to take an appropriate image. When this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is completed, the same day crown machine will mill the restoration. This step takes roughly 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dental practitioner will position the restoration on your tooth.

Today Were Talking About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the physician to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
