Obtain A Perfect Smile With Same Day Crowns

Same Day Crowns attend to visual requirements, restore tooth function, and boost the general health of your mouth. In cases where teeth have huge broken down fillings, a crown can protect and preserve the remaining natural tooth.

To boost your smile, a metal-free, tooth-colored same day crown can also replace an older metal or porcelain crown. Following root canal therapy, a crown is generally put over the remaining tooth structure to protect aesthetic and tooth function.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Bridges (Dental)

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an exceptional method to replace missing teeth.

There are multiple kinds of bridges. We will talk about the best options for your particular case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is normally made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular since they resemble your natural teeth. This kind of bridge includes 2 crowns that go over 2 anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are attached on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the space developed by multiple missing teeth.

Dental bridges are highly durable and will last many years with correct home care; however, they may have to be replaced or re-cemented due to regular wear.

Reasons For Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking capability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill area of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a removable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

What does getting a Fixed Bridge include?

Getting a bridge normally requires 2 or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by eliminating a part of enamel to enable a crown. Next, a extremely precise impression (mold) is made which will be sent out to a dental lab where the bridge will be made. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and used for a number of weeks till your next visit.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be thoroughly checked, adjusted, and cemented to accomplish a correct fit and comfy bite.

You will receive care directions at the conclusion of your treatment. Proper brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new permanent bridge.

Why You Should Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the space created by a missing tooth. It is formed to appear like the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for assistance, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an specific science. The materials used might be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The option of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is important that a missing tooth be replaced as quickly as possible for multiple reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the gap start to move inward, developing an entire chain reaction of bad things. Teeth use their neighbors for support, and, with one missing, they start to "fall." As this worsens the bite changes in reaction to the pressure. This can ultimately lead to problems with the entire jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth degrade and it is simply a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease becomes a serious issue, with the difficulty of treatment increasing as the neglect continues.
