What Are Same Day Dental Crowns?

The same day crown is a innovation for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the top-quality ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the details of the procedure and your dentist will address any concerns you might have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth significantly. Since tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple approaches: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and convenient lightening process. The appointment is around one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
